1. Usage Agreement
By accessing the GreenPWR website or purchasing a SunHopper unit, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms govern the professional relationship between GreenPWR, Inc. and you, the user or customer.
Our goal is to provide reliable, efficient Direct-to-Tank technology. These terms help ensure the safety and longevity of your equipment and our brand.
2. Product Safety & Installation
CRITICAL SAFETY NOTICE:
The SunHopper®-D interacts with high-voltage DC arrays and domestic water heating systems. All installations must be performed by qualified professionals in accordance with local electrical and plumbing codes. GreenPWR is not liable for damages or injuries resulting from unauthorized or improper installation.
Tampering with the SunHopper unit, including opening the sealed enclosure or bypassing internal safety mechanisms, immediately voids all warranties and may create hazardous electrical conditions.
3. Intellectual Property & Technical Materials
The designs, algorithms, trademarks (SunHopper®, GreenPWR logo), and software embedded within our units are the exclusive property of GreenPWR, Inc.
- You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the SunHopper hardware.
- Technical Shared Materials: GreenPWR may provide technical documentation, schematics, or repair guides as part of our commitment to product longevity. These materials are provided for the sole purpose of supporting the individual unit and must not be redistributed, published, or shared by any means without express written consent.
- The technical insights and data provided via our Energy Calculator are for your personal or professional evaluation and may not be republished for commercial gain without consent.
4. Warranty, Support & Right to Repair
GreenPWR provides a limited warranty on hardware defects. Installation errors are not covered by any product warranty. Complete warranty details are provided on the product page. Technical support is available.
Support for Repair: In support of the "Right to Repair," GreenPWR strives to ensure our products are serviceable. We may provide access to replacement components and technical guidance for out-of-warranty units. However, all repairs must be evaluated for safety, and GreenPWR assumes no liability for repairs attempted by unqualified individuals.
5. SunHopper® Subscription Services
To access certain advanced features of the SunHopper®-D, including cloud-based intelligent energy scheduling and predictive solar harvesting, an active SunHopper® Subscription is required.
Service Benefits
The subscription fee directly supports GreenPWR's underlying cloud infrastructure, weather forecasting API integrations, and ongoing software development to refine and improve the SunHopper® algorithm over time.
Pricing Transparency
We are committed to long-term affordability. GreenPWR guarantees a maximum annual subscription rate increase of no more than 5% per year, ensuring predictable low-cost ownership.
- Included Service: All SunHopper®-D units include one (1) year of SunHopper® Cloud service at no additional cost from the date of activation.
- Annual Renewal: Following the initial year, service is available via a low-cost annual subscription (currently $10 per year).
- Manual Control: Standard device monitoring and manual operation via the local interface do not require an active subscription. Only automated cloud scheduling functions are tied to the service plan.
6. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
